Q: How do I transfer Ashly Remote design files between an iPad and a Windows PC?
Apple has changed how file transfers work on Windows devices. iTunes is no longer used for this purpose. Instead, you must use the Apple Devices app, available for free in the Microsoft Store.
Q: How does the file transfer process work?
- Install and open the Apple Devices app on your Windows PC
- Connect your iPad via USB
- When prompted on the iPad, select “Trust”
- In the Apple Devices app, navigate to Files
- Select Ashly Remote from the app list
- All available design files will appear and can be saved to your PC
Q: Why isn’t iTunes working anymore?
Apple has split iTunes functionality into separate apps, and it is no longer the standard method for file transfers on Windows. The Apple Devices app should be used instead.
Q: What if I can’t connect or don’t see my device?
- Ensure you have accepted the “Trust” prompt on the iPad
- Confirm you are using the Apple Devices app (not iTunes)
