You don’t have to sacrifice space or prohibitivly steep cost to get up to four channels of clean, robust amplifier power.
The half- and one-rack-space size FA Series high-density Class D amps belie their output: Up to 125 W x 4 in a half rack space…up to 250 W x 4 in one rack space!

Conference & Huddle Rooms • Retail, Hotel and Exhibit Kiosks • Churches Offices and Warehouses
FA amps fit where others won’t: kiosks, under tables, closets, etc.

FA amplifiers can nestle under conference tables, trade show exhibits, reception area counters and anywhere else a larger amplifier just won’t fit.
FA Series delivers from 250-500W in 1/2RU and 1,000W in 1RU and are great for all those tight-space installs: Under conference tables, behind displays, inside kiosks, even mounted on a wall. No rack? No problem! FA goes where you need it. Of course, mounting hardware is available for rack or surface-mounting where necessary.
This tiny footprint for a 125-watt/ch or 250 watt/ch amp means you can hide them behind big-screen TVs in conferences rooms and hotel lobbys, power BGM in retail spaces who don’t have room for a hefty amp, provide serious audio to a stand-alone kiosk, power an exhibit presenter, small church or conference room.

The possibilities are endless for amps that don’t take up a whole rack space (FA 125.4 and FA 125.2) or deliver 250 watts per channel in one rack space (FA 250.4).

We have provided abundant hardware for various mounting layouts including a bracket for two 1/2-rack FA’s side-by-side, or one FA in a standard rack configuration.

FA Power Sharing feature offers greater flexibility.

A typical 125-watt per channel amp does just that: Delivers up to 125 watts to each channel. The FA Series is far more flexible. The FA-125.2 and FA-125.4 can SHARE between channel pairs…up to a total of 250W total per pair! So you can design a system with a 180W load on one channel and 70W on the other. Or if a single channel only is driven, 250W can be output to drive a heavier load such as subwoofer.

That means a level of flexibility not found in other amps, including opportunities where one amp can replace two. It breaks the time-honored rules that an X-per channel amp can only deliver X per channel from both of its outputs.

Multi-mode operation with switchable Low Z (4/8 Ohms) or Hi Z (70/100V) selectable per channel lets you mix and match speaker types as needed. 1/2RU models offer convenient power-sharing technology that balances power between channels to meet different load requirements and also feature 25V operation. This allows two channels of the FA amplifier to deliver different loads by trading power.
The FA’s “under-the-hood” DSP keeps things under control without having to even think about it. An 80Hz High-Pass Filter kicks in whenever a channel is switched to Hi-Z mode to reduce excessive bass. Also, a Clip Limiter is activated in Hi-Z mode to prevent loud transients from overdriving the amplifier. Both of these DSP functions help prevent an potentially damaging signals from damaging smaller speakers. A USB port allows for future DSP updates.
FA amps run cool without needing heavy heat sinks and noisy fans.

Power amplifiers of any size need cooling. With larger amps racked up in an equipment closet, fan noise might not be an issue. But the whole point of the FA 125.4 and FA 125.2 form factor is that you can put 250 watts of power under a conference table, on the wall behind a big screen monitor, or in a kiosk. So we designed FA for high efficiency (less heat creation) AND ensured that the FA fans are whisper quiet with an unobstructed air flow between fan and output.

Install one in a conference room, empty it of people and listen to…well…the silence!

Convenient Auto ON / OFF reduces heat and energy costs.

Another way the FAs keep a cool head is by powering down when not needed. Realistically, many installations experience several hours of down-time (such as overnight or perhaps on weekends when facilities are closed). Of course, all that gear sitting idle for all that time can cause undue stress on electronics (not to mention your wallet due to excess energy consumption).

FA’s Auto/On off feature places the amplifier in “sleep” mode after 30 minutes of no audio input signal, and wakes instantaneously when input signal is present. While in sleep mode, the FAs draw very little current and therefore not only save on electricity cost but also generate virtually no heat. Aside from the obvious convenience, it also reduces the need for additional HVAC or external power control equipment. This reduction in heat also helps to lengthen the life-span of electronic components that would normally remain on for hours, even when not in use.
Cool. Cost-saving. Convenient.

Remote lock-out feature keeps FAs safe from inspired amateurs.

Every customer/install has somebody who will futz with settings on anything electronic as if they know what they’re doing. Easy control of a front panel Gain knob can lead to client-induced call-backs. Because we make the FA series so compact, they invite mounting in more open spots, which invites more determined tweakers. So FA has a lock-out feature for both ON/OFF and Gain knobs that keeps the casual tweaker from messing things up.

THE FA SERIES continues Ashly’s reputation for bullet-proof reliability. Put one under a conferece room table or on a wall behind a 75” monitor and the amps will outlast the table or TV. Along with performance and reliability, FA’s small form factor gives you the flexibility to meet the needs of a wider range of projects and expands the Ashly lineup for more diverse options.
In short, Ashly FA amps are a “One-way Sale”. Read on for full specifications.
