The Ashly Q-SYS Plugin allows control and monitoring of supported amplifiers from Q-SYS Products and Software. Examples of supported functions include: amplifier status, firmware, current preset, input & output meter, channel temperature, etc. For more information please refer to the help documentation linked below.
Ashly amplifier models supported by this plugin are:
pêma4125, pêma4250, pêma8125, pêma8250, ne4250, ne4250pe, ne8250, ne8250pe, nXe752, nXe1502, nXe4002, nXe8002, nXe1.52, nXe3.02, nXe754, nXe1504, nXe4004, nXe8004, nXe1.54, nXe3.04, nXp752, nXp1502, nXp4002, nXp8002, nXp1.52, nXp3.02, nXp754, nXp1504, nXp4004, nXp8004, nXp1.54, nXp3.04
Please note: this plugin is currently in beta.
If you encounter any issues or would like to provide feedback, please reference the help documentation below, or contact the Ashly Service Department by clicking here and select “Technical Support” before submitting.
Use this plugin to connect to and control network-enabled Ashly Amplifiers.
The plugin is compatible with Q-SYS Designer version 9.4 and above.
NOTE: See the Ashly Power Amps product page on the Ashly website for product information and documentation.
Prerequisites
Before you can configure the plugin, the amplifier(s) must be connected to a network and have a valid IP address in a subnet which the Q-SYS core can communicate with.
The IP address can be obtained or configured from the Ashly amplifier using Ashly Protea NE software, see Protēa™ software suite product page.
It is recommended to configure a static IP address for the amplifier, as DHCP addresses can change.
You will also need to obtain the amplifier MAC address as well as the Username and Password of a local user with “Full Access” access level on the amplifier (default username: admin | default password: *none*).
NOTE: If you are able to connect and monitor the amplifier but are unable to change any control states from within the Plugin, verify the user credentials and access level.
Configuration Overview
- Drag the plugin into your schematic.
- In the Plugin Properties pane, select the correct amplifier model.
- Press F5 to save your design to the Core and run it. (Or, press F6 to emulate your design.)
- In your schematic, double-click the plugin to open the component’s control panel.
- In the NETWORK CONFIG section, enter the amplifier IP Address, MAC Address, Username, and Password in their respective fields.
